About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated part-time Marketing and PR Intern to support our social media presence and audience growth across multiple platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who’s creative, organized, and interested in digital marketing, content creation, and media outreach.

You’ll work closely with our team to help amplify our shows, engage our community, and support guest booking efforts, as well as learning what it takes to market a show and the various ways of integrating social media into a branding campaign.

This role reports to Pionaire’s CMO/CDO with additional reporting to the VP of Operations.

 

Brief Overview

Part Time: 10-20 hours a week.

Hours: Flexible depending on location and schedule, but hours will need to take place between 7AM and 7PM EDT weekdays.

Pay: $10/hour

Term Length: Summer, with the potential to continue.

 

Responsibilities

Social Media Support

  • Assist with editing short-form content for social platforms.
  • Write engaging captions aligned with brand voice without the use of AI.
  • Schedule and post content across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Substack.
  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; engage with the community in a timely and professional manner.
  • Send weekly trends email for staff identifying trending sounds our talent can use to promote their shows.
  • Track weekly growth and flag abnormal data trends.

Guest Outreach & Booking

  • Research and identify potential guests relevant to our shows.
  • Draft and send cold outreach emails to prospective guests from Pionaire accounts with support of CMO.
  • Track outreach efforts, responses, and follow-ups in an organized system.
  • Support coordination and communication with Producers related to guest booking as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Interest in marketing, social media, communications, or media production.
  • Familiarity in posting to and managing accounts on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Shorts.
  • Strong written communication skills (especially for captions and email outreach).
  • Basic editing skills (video or image editing experience is a plus, but not required).
  • Self-starter who can manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media scheduling tools like Later.
  • Understanding of analytics and engagement metrics, especially Google and/or Meta Analytics.
  • Prior experience with outreach, sales, or email marketing.
  • Passion for podcasts, shows, or digital media.
  • Familiarity with Substack, X, and Threads is a bonus.
