Job Overview

We are seeking a Remote Podcast Editor with 3+ years of experience in video podcast production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Edit full-length podcast and video episodes, including audio mixing, color correction, visual enhancements, overlays, and supplemental footage.
  • Edit extended and bonus content, ensuring consistency with brand tone and visual identity.
  • Create motion graphics packages (intros, outros, ad breaks, special segments) for use across multiple shows.
  • Schedule and publish episodes on YouTube, Audioboom, and other platforms with appropriate tagging and categorization.
  • Manage and maintain YouTube and Audioboom channel organization, including playlists and settings.
  • Record and edit baked-in ads, including overlays and translations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the production team on ad vetting, placement, and compliance.

 

Social Media & Promotional Asset Creation

  • Create short-form social clips and promotional assets for multiple shows.
  • Design and optimize custom thumbnails for YouTube and other social platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing on promotional trailers and high-visibility campaigns (e.g., major ad placements and launches).

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in podcast production, with a focus on both audio and video editing.
  • Proficiency in audio and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro preferred).
  • Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms (e.g., Audioboom, or similar) and social media content creation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to maintain deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for podcasts and storytelling, with a keen interest in staying current with industry trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a collaborative mindset.

 

Technical Requirements for 4K Editing Capabilities:

Processor (CPU):

  • Apple Silicon: M3 Pro / M3 Max / M4 (or newer)
  • Intel/AMD: Intel Core i9 (13th gen or newer) / AMD Ryzen 9 (7000 series or newer)

Memory (RAM):

  • 32GB RAM (minimum)
  • 64GB RAM (for heavy multi-cam 4K editing)

Graphics Card (GPU):

  • Apple Silicon GPU (integrated with M3 Pro/M3 Max/M4)
  • NVIDIA RTX 4070 / 4080 / 4090 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT (if using a Windows PC)

Storage (SSD):

  • 2TB NVMe SSD (minimum) for fast read/write speeds and smooth playback
  • External SSDs (USB-C or Thunderbolt) for additional storage

Monitor:

  • Dual 4K Monitors (Recommended for Efficiency)
  • Color-accurate display (e.g., LG UltraFine 5K, BenQ PD3220U, or Apple Studio Display)

Audio Equipment:

  • Studio Headphones (e.g., Audio-Technica ATH-M50X, Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro)

Internet Speed Requirements

  • Upload Speed: At least 100 Mbps for cloud backups and remote collaboration
  • Download Speed: At least 500 Mbps
