Pionaire Podcasting

Working with us is different.

Our definition of success is a staff of talented people that feel fulfilled. Period. At Pionaire you are not just another show on a huge network. You’re not a product that lives solely for the bottom line of a company. We’ve built a small army of like-minded, creative thinkers and performers to make the kind of programming experience that allows you to be the most inspired version of yourself.

We understand the challenges, struggles, and uniqueness of being a creative. Because, well, we’ve experienced them too. So we roll up our sleeves. Work together. And provide you with custom solutions to maximize your message, grow your voice and achieve your definition of success.

A loyal audience is built on content and delivery. That’s where it all starts and that’s where we shine. That’s our currency. And we know how to market that content better than anybody.

We all have something important to say. We get more people to hear it.

I’m Bert Weiss.

CEO & President

Here’s the short version: I’ve worked at every level in broadcasting. I started as a teen research assistant. Snuck my way onto the radio. I’ve been a phone screener. I’ve been a producer. I’ve been an executive producer. I’ve been a barely-heard sidekick, a co-host and, now, the proud host of (what I consider) the most fun, diverse, personality-driven, syndicated morning show in the country: The Bert Show.

It’s downright intoxicating to be heard, to have a strong opinion, to have a unique voice. There’s nothing more satisfying than believing in yourself, starting from scratch and having an audience respect you and grow with you.

The elements of a great podcast are no different than what made my syndicated morning radio show successful for over 20 years and in the top 5 most downloaded radio podcasts in the country. We get over 3.7 million downloads a month. That success was built on content and delivery and highly effective marketing. Period.

Every step along the way, I’ve constructed and programmed personality driven morning shows. The kind of programming experience that gives you security and allows you to be the most creative, unique voice you can be. Working with me is different because I understand the challenges, the struggles and the uniqueness of being creative and a performer.

I’m taking the best experiences I’ve had in my career and building a family of fun, uniquely creative, free thinking, hard working talent that I can cheer for as your success grows. I want to be inspired and fulfilled and I want that for every person at Pionaire.

I manipulated my way into getting a live shift on a radio station two decades ago and I still remember the thrill of being behind that live mic for the first time. Chris Tuff

Co-Founder & Head of Strategy

I fell into internet marketing after graduating from Vanderbilt in 2003. I had one of the first viral videos of my engagement to my wife in 2006 landing me on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and was one of the first marketers to work directly with Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg around the same time. I then went on to grow the social media and digital content practice at 22squared in 2008 and helped grow that into one of the largest growth and profit centers for the firm whilst becoming one of the youngest partners in our 100 year history. In 2019, I published my national bestselling book “The Millennial Whisperer,” landing me at companies like Nike but also teaching me how to scale impact. It was soon after this book success that Bert and I were sitting at a bar talking about his future where Pionaire was unlocked.

Mike Morse

Mike Morse

President of Podcast Operations

Every night as a kid I dreamed of three things: talking on the radio, being on tv, and playing 1st Base for the Atlanta Braves. After realizing pretty quickly in college that the later would never come to fruition, I quickly turned my sights to radio. I started in radio as the guy who drove the station vehicle to remote broadcasts with the goal of working my way up to be one of the guys who actually talked on the radio. After busting my butt, I finally got my shot and… I was terrible; like really bad. Despite that minor detail, every time I cracked the mic, I felt electricity in my veins, and I was hooked forever.

In my long career, I’ve experienced unprecedented ratings success with radio stations 106.1 Kiss FM, Mix 101.5, and G105 and as an On-Air Personality; on TV station WNCN as a Telly Award winning TV Host; and on the nationally syndicated Kidd Kraddick Morning Show as Executive Producer & Show Director.

My love of performing also led me to co-founding the experiential talent agency, Radio DJs, and I’ve DJ’d for celebrities, pro athletes, national brands and professional sports teams like the Dallas Cowboys, plus artists like Katy Perry, N’Sync, Salt’N’Pepa, Nelly, Black Eyed Peas and more.

Over the past few years, I’ve fallen in love with podcasting and I’m proud to be able to share everything I’ve learned in radio, tv, and performing with our talented podcast hosts at Pionaire.

P.S. I may not have played 1st Base for the Atlanta Braves, but I did sit behind the 1st Base dugout at an Atlanta Braves game once, and I consider that a win. FUN FACTS: I was a 3x Virginia High School State Debate Champion and arguably the best white dancer at my school. My wife, Lindsay, and I were on Family Feud and I still tease her about one of her answers.

Amy Howard

Amy Howard

Chief Operations Officer (COO)

I’m Amy Howard and I handle everything Operations related – I’m detail-oriented and am an expert in adapting to fast-paced, growing environments.

I started off my career modeling for brands like JCPenney and Bloomingdale’s, then transitioned into event management, handling over $1 million annually in sales. After 20 years in the hospitality industry, I converted those skills into Executive Assistant and Business Management roles in an industry in which I had no prior knowledge. Over the years, I’ve become a specialist in the management side of the radio and podcasting industries and I’ve had a ton of fun doing it.

I love watching and going to sports events (I’m a diehard FSU Football fan!), reading thrillers and historical fiction, and when I’m not working, you can find me traveling anywhere that includes a beach (tiki bars are always a plus!)

I’m excited to be a part of Pionaire from the ground up and bring my expertise and perspective from both the talent and management sides of the business not only to the team, but to your podcast, too.

Cassie Young

Cassie Young

Chief Digital & Marketing Officer (CDO / CMO)

I’ve been in radio for most of my career, the podcasting space for half of it, and digital is my big specialty.

When it comes to the radio and podcasting industries, I’ve worked both behind the scenes as well as on the mic, so I understand everything from creating content and producing to audio and video editing, marketing, and the technical side of things. I’ve gone viral a few times (for shutting down a rude personal trainer and dancing to Britney – yup, love me some Britney Spears), and was named one of Emory University’s 40 Under 40.

I’m a creative at heart – I’m also a photographer who loves music and books. I love Cajun food, own way too much striped clothing, care a ridiculous amount about environmental issues and love being outside – either on the water somewhere, biking, or hiking down some hidden trail.

I’m a big believer in that you really can use your voice for good, whether that looks like entertaining people and making them laugh, sharing ideas, or creating change.

Ben Juster

Ben Juster

Vice President, Podcast Operations

Hello! I’m Ben Juster, a proud resident of Woodstock by way of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My podcasting journey began at the famed STUFF Media, where I got to work with top industry trailblazers like Stuff You Should Know and Stuff You Missed In History Class, before navigating a highly successful tenure at iHeartPodcast Network, eventually becoming the Director of Podcast Pre-Sale Operations. My time with iHeart was hugely rewarding, helping build arguably the top network in the podcast industry, while working alongside notable partners like the NFL, the NBA and Bloomberg, and top talent like Zach Braff, Erin Andrews, Katie Couric, Bethenny Frankel, Malcolm Gladwell – the list goes on!

When I’m not immersed in the world of podcasts, you’ll find me soaking up quality time with my wife Sam and our two little adventurers, Rowan and Cam. We’re all about exploring nature, especially hitting the trails for a good hike.

Sports are my passion, whether it’s rooting for my Kansas Jayhawks, catching an Atlanta Braves game, or waking up early on a Saturday to support Liverpool FC. And when it’s time to bring the energy to special occasions, I step into my hosting chops as a wedding MC, ensuring every moment is filled with joy and excitement.

As a regular Bert Show listener, I’m honored to work alongside Bert, Chris and Co. to drive the growth of this exciting Podcast network.

Watch out world. HERE. WE. COME.

Jackson Kim

Jackson Kim

Ad Operations Manager and Digital Producer

Hey everyone! My name is Jackson Kim and I’m a Korean American from the Atlanta area and have been a listener of The Bert Show since I was in elementary school.

I’m a Georgia Tech grad with a degree in Finance. You might be wondering how I ended up here working in radio and podcasting, of all things. I’ve had an assortment of jobs since graduating college, starting off in Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan before moving into a job in Tech where I worked for Yelp. Neither of those jobs were a good fit so after Yelp, I actually headed up an expansion of an In-home Sushi making business here in Atlanta before joining Pionaire.

Professional life aside, I’m an avid golfer and gamer. Those two things pretty much encompass the entirety of my free time and I have actually built my own custom computers and keyboards. I also have two cats named Bastion and Rein! Feel free to drop in and say hi to me on my Instagram @jackson.kiim.

Rebecca Lancaster

Rebecca Lancaster

Social Media Manager

Hey y’all! I’m Rebecca. I handle talent scouting, looking for great podcast talent to join our Pionaire Network. I’m also the Social Media Producer assisting Cassie with all forms of Digital Media.

When I’m not posting clips of the show or replying to your comments, you can catch me watching Jeopardy with my family, or at the theater weekly (comes with the territory of being a film major) or maybe even at a local drag show! As a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design my passion has always been creating topical and engaging content. And yes, sometimes that includes 30 Rock GIFs.

I’m an ATLien born and raised and a huge fan of Atlanta United. Shout-out to my MVP Miggy, my sweet dog.
